Allocation and application
PCR-box is designed to prevent any internal laboratory contamination in medical institutions and research laboratories when a polymerase chain reaction takes place.
PCR-box can be used for the UV irradiation (with an ultraviolet lamp) of appliances, laboratory glassware and devices.
PCR-box standard kitting:
- desktop case;
- inclined, easy folding front panel (stalinite) comprising 2 parts;
- UV irradiation within the range of 25 W/30 W;
- 2 outlets;
- illuminating lamp;
- ;
- UV-irradiation blocking while front panel raising (for box with width 1220 mm).
Construction of PCR-box
A work tabletop, a rear wall and a ceiling panel of the PCR-box are made of one-piece stainless sheet. Its front panel is made of break-resistant glass – the UV untransparent stalinite. An easy folding front panel consisting of 2 halves permits you to disinfect both sides of the glass and the work area. The box sidewalls are made of monolithic plastic HPL (high pressure laminate) designed specially for laboratory applications with high-level endurance, moisture and shock resistances and high stability to chemical agents, disinfectant cleaning chemicals. Two closing outlets are placed inside the PCR-box that makes it possible to plug laboratory devices in the box. The box is completed with an UV bactericidal lamp of 254 nm wave length and long service life (8000h). The outer metallic surfaces are enameled with a powder with high stability to impact of disinfectant cleaning chemicals.
There are two varieties of PCR-box's dimensions according to width (922 mm and 1220 mm)
PCR-box control system
PCR-box is equipped by micropocessor control system, that allows::
- уto set UV-irradiator operation timer whithin limits from 1 minute to 4 hours
- to provide of deadlock for lighting and the UV lamp (an inhibition for simultaneous switch-on)
- to save the UV lamp operation time and a setting for its automatic switch-off are stored in the nonvolatile memory and to read the parameters from memory while power is switced on.
